Backend Engineering
Building APIs that hold up — authentication, database persistence, structured routes, validation, testing, and deployment with FastAPI and PostgreSQL.
§ About / Background
I build full-stack and backend systems with React, TypeScript, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
My focus is turning beginner projects into realistic engineering systems — the kind with real authentication, persistent databases, protected routes, clean documentation, and deployment workflows that actually hold up.
I'm drawn to backend architecture, accessibility, and products that solve real problems without overwhelming the people using them. That interest led to Bloom — an accessible routine and focus app built around low-pressure user experience and calm, inclusive design.
I use every project as an engineering lab: a place to practise debugging, architecture decisions, Git workflow, testing, and explaining technical choices clearly — not just to make things work, but to understand why they work.
§ Direction
Building APIs that hold up — authentication, database persistence, structured routes, validation, testing, and deployment with FastAPI and PostgreSQL.
Connecting frontend to backend with React and TypeScript — protected routes, API integration, accessible interfaces, and user flows that work end to end.
Writing clearly about technical decisions — README files, architecture notes, debugging recaps, and documentation that makes projects readable beyond the code itself.
§ Background
MSc Computer Science — currently in progress. Building engineering fundamentals alongside practical project work.
ADAS Operations at Tesla, EMEA. Operational systems experience that shaped how I think about reliability, process, and attention to detail.
London and Edinburgh. Open to remote, hybrid, and international roles. Working toward technical communication in Japanese.
